“Four Seasons” By Andres Sarda Opens Up MBFW Madrid
Last 15th of September Andres Sarda opened the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid Spring- Summer 2017 with their collection “Four Seasons”. The creative director of the firm, Núria Sarda, proposed a collection full of nuances with a very sophisticated show inspired in “change” throughout the four seasons.
The flowers in spring and the brightness of summer established the starting point of the show, along the stellar appearance of charismatic Spanish actress Rossy de Palma, who wore a spectacular look. The show proceeded towards an autumn full of details and finalized with winter season with a wink to Christmas.
The first proposal consisted of swimwear bathed with colorful flowers made out of organza silk and Swarovski crystals. An exuberant spring that proposes pastel colors on very elaborated fabrics such as pique, tulle and organza. The exclusive prints of the firm are inspired on Chinese porcelain. The lightness of mesh and the graphism of stripes, conspire to evoke the summer spirit with a palette of colors that represent the essence of the Mediterranean, such as white, indigo blue and yellow.
Textures and transparencies were the protagonists of the second part of the show devoted to autumn and winter, represented by a seductive lingerie collection. Autumn came along haute couture crochet type of lace and Chantilly, combined with clothing that plays with volumes and exquisite jewelry conveying organic shapes. Colors included a sybarite palette with powder pink, coral, caramel or anthracite.
Finally, winter is inspired by playful pieces such as the tie-dress made of satin silk, wrapping a more intimate proposal made of embroidered plummets tulle, bicolor lace and some crystal details perfectly integrated thanks to the complicity of transparencies.
A sum of 39 looks concluded with the final appearance of Rossy de Palma wearing a gigantic red lace that reminds us to gifts, holidays and Christmas surprises.
