Explore Undiscovered Iran | Essential Iran Itinerary

Iran is now back on the tourist map after years of being off-limits to western travellers. In early 2016, the Foreign Office lifted its ban against travel to Iran for most parts of the country, including the capital city Tehran. British Airways subsequently reintroduced its London to Tehran route for the first time since 2012. Wexas Travel has launched a brand new eight-day Essential Iran itinerary offering intrepid travellers the chance to explore this undiscovered country. Start in Tehran – a meeting point of the country’s diversely gregarious people and home to its finest museums. From here, a flight hop south will head to medieval Shiraz for exquisite mosques, verdant gardens and Persepolis, a grand ruined testament to a lost civilisation. The journey back overland will be characterised by dynastical desert outposts and a two-night stay in Isfahan where tree-lined boulevards and millennia-old bridges lead to pavilion-speckled gardens and palace-lined squares. More details here: Essential Iran Itinerary
