MENORCA ON HORSEBACK | Explore This Beautiful Island With Torralbenc
Renowned for its sun-bleached shores, plunging cliffs and secluded beauty spots, Menorca’s coastline is wild and wonderful. This spring, Torralbenc is inviting guests to discover its magic with new riding experiences on the Camí de Cavalls trail – an ancient path that encircles the island’s rich and beautiful landscapes.
With a trusty steed for company, exploring the historic Camí de Cavalls on horseback offers a truly authentic Menorcan experience. This ancient bridle path traces 116 miles around the coastline, connecting ancient watchtowers and lighthouses and revealing secret beaches and medieval forts. Riders will follow in the footsteps of Moor, Catalan, French and English soldiers who patrolled there for centuries.
From the saddle, guests will discover peaceful spots, green valleys full of flowers, and prehistoric remains, picking the perfect spot to stop for a picnic en-route. Led by expert instructors, Torralbenc’s riding experiences are tailored to the individual preferences of each guest and available to riders of all levels. Guests can choose from tours ranging from a couple of hours to several days, whilst the more adventurous can complete the full circuit of the island, on a special 7-day journey.
Torralbenc can also arrange hiking and cycling tours of the Camí de Cavalls, where guests will discover local estates and farms along the way, as well as partake in traditional Menorcan cheese making. The Camí de Cavalls shows Menorca at its finest, telling the stories of an age-old island.
Back at Torralbenc, guests can choose from a wide range of exclusive Natura Bissé spa treatments to ease weary legs. Good food is also on the menu – the finest local and seasonal ingredients star in authentic Menorcan dishes with a contemporary twist, expertly mixing the flavours of land and sea. Torralbenc’s restaurant is set amid 70 hectares of private farmland, vineyards and olive groves, with sun sinking views of the Mediterranean – making the gastronomic experience a truly unforgettable one.
Opened in 2013, Torralbenc’s 27 rooms and cottages are set in 70 acres of peaceful countryside, close to the Mediterranean coast, bringing simple, understated luxury to the south west of the island.
