Indian Cuisine Arrives At COTTON HOUSE BARCELONA With ATUL KOCHHAR


From May until July 2017, the hotel will host a pop-up restaurant by Michelin Starred Chef Atul Kochhar


During the next three months, the pop-up restaurant will offer a curated selection of the most representative creations from Atul Kochhar, the first Indian Chef to be awarded with a Michelin Star. Besides, there will also be a wide and indulging variety of cocktails inspired by his home country.

Currently based in London, the Indian Chef has designed a unique five or seven course dinner menu for each of the months. Moreover, guest will also have the opportunity to delight a selection of indian inspired cocktails and tapas, to be enjoyed at any time of the day. The first menu, which is exclusively designed for May introduces a delightful proposal:

Spirit of Bombay Cocktail

Asparragus & Pickled Lime

Prawns, Curry Leaves and Coconut

Chicken, Apricot and Potato

Mango, Cumin and Palm Sugar

Lamb, Rogan Sauce and Brocoli Sprouts

Chocolate and Maracuya

Water, Tea, Coffee and Petit Fours

 

Atul Kochhar’s creations are a combination of indian heritage and locally sourced products, redefining perceptions of this exotic cuisine. Cotton House Hotel, which used to be the headquarters of the Cotton Textile Foundation, has selected Indian cuisine creating sinergies with the country that has a long tradition with aforesaid textile.

The culinary experience will be accompanied by a subtile atmosphere evoking the spirit of India, which along the lush gardens of the hotel, will transport the guest to this beautiful country.

Indian Inspired Cocktails & Tapas

Besides the dinner, one will be able to delight at any time of the day an assortment of tapas and indulging cocktails created by Atul Kochhar: Spirit of Bombay, Benarés, New Dheli, Agra and Jaipur will be among this accurate selection.  Spirit of Bombay, the cocktail to be served with the first menu in May, has been made with Crystal Gin Bombay Shapphire.

The pop-up restaurant will be open from the 4th of May until the 31st of July | The menu will only be served during dinner time.  Price is 65€ per person.
