Reda Amalou Unveils Iconic Design Collection At ICFF New York
Reda Amalou’s design collection at ICFF New York perfectly exemplifies its design philosophy that allowing freedom and taking ownership is most important
On the occasion of the renowned contemporary design fair ICFF New York, Reda Amalou Design is delighted to unveil their iconic selection of design pieces, including creations designed in collaboration with Maison Baguès alongside their own bespoke signature pieces.
Reda Amalou Design’s bespoke pieces showcase the best in innovative furniture and accessories design; made of the finest high-quality materials, these chic but functional products add a contemporary touch to any interior. The collection to be unveiled at ICFF New York perfectly exemplifies Reda Amalou’s design philosophy that “allowing freedom, and letting people take ownership of the object, is the most important.”
Among these stunning pieces is the stately LANKA armchair, whose natural solid mahogany and burned oak veneer frame is contrasted against the upright black steel rods that support it, resulting in a perfect juxtaposition between materials.
Reda Amalou will also unveil the LINK collection, made up of a bench, table and stool. Arranged separately or linked together, the pieces can be adapted to each interior according to individual desires. For Reda Amalou, simplicity has become a signature. Thanks to this collection, it shows just how complex simplicity can be.
The PEBBLES collection is a set of five decorative cups. Composed of precious materials like gold leaf or silvered bronze, Reda Amalou unveils a range of accessories with a refined and elegant spirit.
The BOX collection echoes Asian, and more specifically Vietnamese, culture, by which Reda Amalou has been inspired over time. The pure lines of these accessories make them a precious object that can be used as a jewelry box or to hold secrets.
The DOT collection is a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Asian stool. Very strong visually, the pieces take their strength and character from the materials they are crafted from. Thanks to a clean and minimalist line, each piece can be used as an ottoman or as a side table.
DoMiNo is a light born from the collaboration between designer Reda Amalou and Maison Baguès. It is designed with two materials: alabaster and bronze. The pure rectangular forms in alabaster are placed onto a bronze base with a thin strip of bronze cutting the stone in two. These forms complement and contradict one another: the stone becomes translucent, creating a subdued light in the composition.
