This October, Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore’s renowned restaurants – Gordon Grill, L’Espresso and Min Jiang – invite guests to dine on specially-created dishes in beautiful hues of pink for a notable cause.
In light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, fine Continental restaurant Gordon Grill presents a dedicated three-course ‘Shades of Pink’ set lunch, while L’Espresso’s famed English Afternoon Tea spread gets dressed up with delightful dainty pink treats. Sichuan and Cantonese stalwart Min Jiang serves up an exquisite Pretty-In-Pink Dim Sum Trio – a delicate platter that will steal hearts and please palates.
Every guest who orders any of the curated menus or dish will receive a Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) Pink Ribbon Pin worth $2.This year’s Pink Ribbon Pin will feature a unique design to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Breast Cancer Foundation. The hotel will donate to BCF the value of the total number of pins given out. In the same month, guests who wish to make a minimum $2 donation or more for the pins may do so at the participating dining outlets via a BCF donation box. All donations received will go to BCF.
‘Shades of Pink’ set lunch at Gordon Grill
This elegant three-course set lunch will lend a rosy touch to the table and the afternoon, featuring Watermelon Gazpacho with Smoked Salmon, Crab, Compressed Cucumber and Berries Foam; U.S. Beef Tenderloin with Brussels Sprouts, Pickled Beetroot and Pink Peppercorn Sauce; and Raspberry Cheese Dome with Vanilla Sauce. The menu includes a choice of Goodwood blended coffee or a selection of fine teas.
Pink English Afternoon Tea
The chefs have specially created pink savoury and sweet bites to complement the dazzling assortment of dainty sandwiches, salads, savouries, pastries, desserts, chocolate fountain and of course, traditional English scones. The popular range of finger sandwiches will be decked in the season’s latest rose-pink shade complete with delectable fillings such as Honey Chicken Ham with Cheddar Cheese and Scallion.
Other savoury pink additions are Marie Rose Shrimp Cocktail with Mint Cucumber Raita; Beetroot Quail Egg, Parma Ham and Edamame Hummus on Parmesan Shortbread; Pink Somen with Sakura Ebi and Sesame Dressing.
The highlights from the sweets section are Pink Berries Macarons; Pink Doughnuts; Rose Petals Delight; Strawberry Panna Cotta; Pink Vanilla Éclair; and Mini Strawberry Tart. Just for the occasion, the statuesque Chocolate Fountain will be a glistening pink shade and ready to coat the assorted fruit skewers and marshmallows.
As a befitting accompaniment, Pink Flamingo Tea from TWG Tea will also be offered. Perennial signatures such as Antipasti; Cold Delicatessen; freshly baked scones; and hot savouries such as Red Wine-Braised Veal in hot pot served with Warm Brioche as well as the gluten-free Baked Red Bliss Potato on Zucchini-Tomato Stew will still be available during this promotion.
Pretty-in-Pink Dim Sum Trio at Min Jiang
The dim sum chefs have created a plate of three handcrafted bite-sized gems – Rice Roll with Deep-Fried Vermicelli and Mushrooms; Glutinous Rice with Shrimp and Peanuts shaped as a delightful petite pumpkin; and Mochi with strawberry fresh cream and strawberry bits – all sporting pink and full of flavour. The rice roll in particular is a delicious combination of silky rice flour skin and crispy filling.
