Glenapp Castle is a 17 bedroom Relais & Chateaux hotel, tucked away on the breath-taking Ayrshire coast. A Fairytale Christmas
This Christmas, Glenapp Castle has a special three-night stay which includes falconry displays, stargazing, horse and carriage rides, clay pigeon shooting, archery, a Christmas treasure hunt for everyone to enjoy plus of course whiskies and Father Christmas.
To get guests settled and Christmas ready, an amazing six-course gourmet dinner is served on Christmas Eve by Executive Chef David Alexander. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a nightcap in the library before the Glenapp piper sends them off to bed in true Scottish style to wait for Father Christmas.
Christmas Day at Glenapp is never quiet – a full Scottish Christmas breakfast awaits to fill stomachs for a fun-filled festive day. The local Ballantrae church hosts their annual Christmas service for those that fancy or the huge Christmas tree is the perfect place to gather round and open presents. Throughout the afternoon, various activities take place including a beautiful falcon display. Guests are then invited to a Champagne reception prior to a fabulous festive four-course Christmas lunch. Later on, an evening buffet and the castle’s Scottish ceilidh band in the drawing room will keep everyone entertained from the young to the not so young! Night-caps will be served before bedtime to top off a fantastic day.
Fun doesn’t stop there – Boxing Day sees lots more food and many activities on site including which Clay pigeon shooting, archery and treasure hunts which are all available on a complimentary basis as part of the Christmas programme.
Usher in the New Year
For those wanting to carry on the celebrations, New Year’s Eve at Glenapp Castle is not something to miss. Celebrate the new year with a three-night stay including luxurious accommodation, Scottish dancing, pipers, ceilidhs, fine dining, black ties, banquets, drams and an ice curling competition!
The black-tie Hogmanay party begins with a champagne cocktail in the drawing room, accompanied by bagpiper Liam Rogers who will pipe all guests into the six-course Hogmanay banquet dinner. Glenapp has an enviable reputation for its cuisine and this night will be the culinary highlight of the festive season. Following this, it is then time for traditional Scottish dancing with a ceilidh band with beginners to old hands, as New Year’s momentum builds. A ‘dram’ at midnight as the piper brings in the bells Glenapp style, whilst friends and family join together for Auld Lang Syne.
