The Malay word ‘kampong‘ means village. Here at Open Farm Community Singapore, the ‘kampong‘ spirit of warmth and sincerity coupled with Paris Popup‘s guerrilla style dining, guests are guaranteed a unique and luxurious dining affair that will not only excite your taste buds but also leave with an educational experience. 

First founded in 2015, Open Farm Community is Singapore’s first urban farm and restaurant concept, boasting a whooping 35,000 square feet of green land. Open Farm Community aims to give guests a one of a kind farm-to-table dining experience with locally sourced produce so as to educate and connect them to the ingredients and dishes served.

The three week restaurant collaboration with Paris Popup is just the perfect opportunity to enhance guests’ dining experience at Open Farm Community. Helmed by Chef Harry Cummins, Montreal-born sommelier Laura Vidal and Julia Mitton, #KampongFrench marks Paris Popup‘s 35th stint. Guests will be in for a surprise treat with the combination of Paris Popup‘s guerrilla style, French cuisine and the local produce from Open Farm Community – the possibilities are endless!

Until the 3rd of December 2017, have a taste of the wonderful fusion all-day dining menu at Open Farm Community. To bring out the ‘kampong’ experience even more, the dishes served come in sharing plates so as to keep conversations at the table lively and robust. Laura Vidal, Paris Popup‘s sommelier, will guide diners through an eclectic selection of natural wines from some of her favourite winemaking regions that will compliment the french fusion cuisine to a T.

Top picks include Shrimp Chawanmushi, a steamed egg dish, with locally sourced sorrel and young coconut for a savoury start to the meal that is light on the palette but tasty nonetheless, Froggets (frog nuggets) fried to perfection and the Mud Crab Tagliolini cooked in bisque, lightly seasoned with chives.

Save some space for desserts as the Sweet Potato & Gula Melaka (palm sugar) Tarte is one not to be missed, for that sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
