The Barn At Calcot | A Charming Hotel In Cotswold’s Countryside
The Calcot Collection, is delighted to announce the re-opening of The Barn at Calcot, in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside, with a new look just in time for the summer season.
The Barn has been restored to create a magical space for gathering, celebrating, and feasting with new additions including a terrace with an al fresco firepit and wood-burning pizza oven. The Calcot Collection’s lead interior designer Nicky Farquhar worked with designer Cathy Birtles on the project, giving The Barn a soft, warm, and vibrant finish.
The Barn was remodelled using a colour scheme of emerald green and mustard yellow coupled with brass fittings. Contemporary touches were added such as textured wood, Pooky green lamps above the bar, emerald green tiling, and globe pendant chandeliers. New grey oak wooden panels and natural carpets have also been added in The Shed and The Loft, to maintain the traditional Cotswolds feel. With six meeting and event areas ranging from cosy and intimate to large and spacious, The Barn can accommodate from 4 to 150 people – making it the ideal meetings and event space.
Downstairs, The Hub is great for meeting and greeting, with a relaxed style and a new bar, ideal for a coffee or a cocktail break. The Shed and The Byre are both intimate meetings spaces and can hold up to 16 people with a warm, informal, and decidedly un-corporate atmosphere. Upstairs, The Loft is a bigger event space with a capacity of 150 people, perfect for those wanting to host larger events and celebrations. Hotel guests can also use The Barn to unwind, catch-up on work or have a coffee.
As well as experiencing the fresh new look inside The Barn, guests can make the most of the outdoors with The Pit area. With snug outdoor seating, a fireplace and a wood-fired pizza oven and barbeque – guests can enjoy alfresco feasts under a large wooden pagoda. Set within 220 acres of classic Cotswold countryside, Calcot and Calcot Spa is brilliantly located for meetings and events. The luxury hotel has 35 bedrooms located in the main house and overlooking the courtyard and gardens and include suites, two-floor duplexes and double rooms. The luxurious Calcot Spa has an indoor pool, treatment rooms, lounge and an outdoor hot tub which overlooks an open wood fire. Calcot’s extensive facilities also include tennis courts, an outdoor pool, children’s playground, creche and complimentary bikes.
