Los Angeles

Too often the food at “sky-high” venues pales in comparison to the view. 71Above in DTLA proves to be the exception. This total experience is one to be savored; led by the food and enhanced by the atmosphere, it will be to the delight of all your senses.

A native Angeleno, Chef Vartan Abgaryan pays homage to LA’s diversity by pushing the boundaries of elevated modern American Cuisine. His culinary creations feature California – sourced ingredients with globally inspired flavors. The seasonal three-course tasting menu with an optional wine pairing is perfectly presented. Two permanent dishes are the luscious Poached Oyster and the satisfying Farm Egg. The vegetarian amuse-bouche is a treat. To continue, the house-made desserts wonderfully complete the dining experience. The international wine list also highlights several brands from Santa Barbara, LA’s backyard wine region. The restaurant is elegant and luxurious. Entering through a dimly-lit golden corridor, an astonishing 360-degree panorama view of LA is revealed. No worries if you are not sitting against a window, you will still enjoy the breathtaking view.

The lounge/bar contains low-slung sofas, counter seating and communal tables. LA’s variety is reflected in the à-la-carte bar menu and handcrafted cocktails. Each cocktail is inspired by a different neighborhood: a drinkable tour of the city!

Guests may choose to dine within the buzz of the bar or in the adjacent lively main dining room. The Chef’s tables offer views of the open kitchen and transitions into a semi-private dining area, offering a more intimate dining environment.

At 71Above, every detail from your plate to the DTLA skyline is luxurious perfection, making a meal here a truly memorable experience!

With one of the most iconic views in the world, City Social offers the best hideaway in London with unforgettable views of the sun setting over the capital.

City Social’s main accolade, however, is its Michelin starred chefs Paul Walsh and Jason Atherton, who have received international renown for their inspired dishes.

Our first starter, Orkney scallops served on a bed of pea fregola and flavored with smoked pancetta, black garlic, and lardo di Colonnata was intriguingly created by layering ingredients on top of each other, allowing them to blend together while simultaneously highlighting each flavor independently.

Our second choice of starter was Brixam crab served with pickled kohlrabi, nashi pear, coriander and pink grapefruit was accompanied by a glass of remarkably refreshing and flavorful Chardonnay. Bringing the soul of the sea to a plate, this dish presented classic ingredients innovatively with a lingering, mouth-watering finish.

The dinner’s champion dish was côte de boeuf cooked over charcoals, with red wine braised cheeks, bone marrow, girolles, and Cornish potatoes. Served for two, our main course was excellently paired with a bold and well-structured glass of Cuvee Lieu-Dit Saint-Joseph. Without a doubt, we rate this dish with five stars for the hearty, classic flavors served on one plate, where a well-marbled, quality cut of meat was cooked on the bone and softly fell apart, delivering an exquisite dining experience to satisfy even the most demanding of meat lovers.

As the sun went down and the city lit up with grace, we left City Social looking back at the view of London that makes us fall in love with this wonderful city all over again. If we had to pick a place to admire it from above – City Social would be our first choice!

Barcelona’s skyline is one of the most charming in Europe. Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the picturesque Tibidabo mountains, this colorful city features buildings not taller than Sagrada Família. This makes the expanse of the city visible from almost any terrace. Nevertheless, the best view of Barcelona and the Mediterranean sea lies 20 minutes outside the city center on the mountain of Montjuic. Perhaps the most enjoyable way to take in the sights of Barcelona is over a dinner at “El Xalet de Montjuic.”

Cozy and charming, yet elegant and sophisticated, “El Xalet de Montjuic” offers traditional Spanish cuisine with a hint of international fusion. The location is in the middle of the mountains surrounded by nature; you can see birds flying and breath fresh air, only 20 minutes away from the city center. From fresh seafood to the finest wine and the sweetest and freshest desserts, visiting this restaurant will make you fall in love with Barcelona and its fine gastronomic scene if you are not already head over heels. “El Xalet de Montjuic” takes you on a journey between flavors. Starting with white wine for the delicious appetizers, followed by red wine for the main dish, a soft and tender meat called “Goloso,” and finally cava for the “Conguito,” a typical Catalan dessert. El Xalet and its views are a dream come true for the lovers of nature, exquisite food, and top-quality service.

With a caring personnel, an extended menu, and a prime location, this fine-dining restaurant in the hills of Barcelona offers a luxurious experience to remember in one of the top locations of the city.
