PALAZZINA GRASSI VENICE | A World of Glamour, Comfort & Sensuality

The uniqueness of Venice where visitors arrive at their hotel by water rather than land already sets the excitement to experience this fascinating city. After an approximate 30-minute exhilarating boat ride from Marco Polo airport via the Grand Canale, guests arrive at the private landing dock of Palazzina Grassi, a 5-star boutique hotel located in the district of San Samuele, a secluded and quiet location yet only a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of San Marco. Situated next to the Palazzo Grassi museum, the hotel is in walking distance of various art galleries and quaint shops right outside its doors.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed at the private dock by the hotel’s friendly staff and escorted to the front desk. From there, Palazzina’s guests are invited to take a seat in the hotel’s restaurant where they are served complimentary refreshments while the reception personnel takes care of the check-in formalities. Just like that, you feel you are at your home away from home.

25 Philippe Starck-decorated rooms and suites will dazzle guests with their chic and contemporary décor. Each space features full-length backlit mirrors on all sides as well as stunning views of either the Grand Canal or the garden, with some rooms overlooking the rooftops of Venezia.

Lampshades adorned with Palazzina’s signature mask symbol add a touch of intrigue to this Venetian experience. Even the beautiful and spacious bathrooms with Bottega Veneta amenities have large milk glass windows with Palazzina’s mask symbols etched into them.

An extension to the restaurant during the warm months, this gorgeous outdoor space is a must-visit. A beautiful and serene space surrounded by lush plants, a striking full-length beveled mirror, and a view to the canal gives it that special Venetian touch. Except for the occasional cry of birds and other nature sounds, there is no noise to disturb you. It is a completely private and relaxing experience. Imagine having Sunday brunch or one of Palazzina’s superb dinners in this unique atmosphere.

After midnight the restaurant turns into a nightclub that has transformed Venice’s nightlife. No expenses are spared when hiring the top DJs for the captivating club scene, Palazzina’s CEO Antonio Onorato assured us. Lounge and watch the eye-catching crowd or dance the night away; you will be entertained either way.

For guests preferring more private or intimate parties, the gorgeous Krug Lounge where famous A-list stars host their by-invitation-only events is the place to be. This exclusive space with a stunning view of the Grand Canal and monumental palaces like the Ca’Foscari, Ca’Rezzonico and Palazzo Contardini is just the right spot to enjoy Maison Krug’s champagne.

Furnished and arranged with great attention to detail including chandeliers made of the famous Murano glass, this restaurant has a unique setup. Fourteen 19th-century columns frame the room with seven-meter counters on each side, one serving as the bar and the other one is an open kitchen where guests can watch their meals being prepared.

The wide selection available all day makes this restaurant one of Venice’s preferred fine dining establishments. Our tasting dinner included various fresh seafood dishes starting with a refreshing appetizer of Salmon Tartar, followed by a delightful Crabmeat Risotto, and finishing with a hearty Beef Cheek with Amarone wine reduction. Wine pairings were served throughout
the meal. The delectable food paired with the impeccable and warm service by the Maître D’s made the experience unforgettable.

If you are not hooked yet, please follow us into Palazzina’s world of hospitality, the hot club scene, and the exclusive Maison Krug Lounge opened in partnership with Palazzina.
